A Sign of Things to Come...

Today, at just 14 months, Elle had a full on tantrum because she wanted to wear her pink, sparkly 'princess' shoes. Is this a sign of things to come? From now on will my carpets be forever hidden under a layer of glitter, and Elle dressed only in a montage of pink?

I suppose I should have seen it coming; she has always made a beeline for my make up and has never cried whilst I style her hair; in fact she brings her brush to me, almost begging me to make her hair pretty.

I'm not complaining; I wanted a girly girl; I'm just surprised at how early she's expressing a preference. If I'm not careful, I will have a real 'diva' on my hands!

from 18 months she started to assert her fashion sense - bless she doesnt really have any but it does always involve pink and a frock

  2. What a beautiful picture. I definitely think you have a little star on your hands there, perhaps even, as you say, a diva!!

  3. aww how adorable! Yes sounds like you have a little princess in the making, my little princess takes me through to watch me do my make up then opens the wardrobe door to talk to herself in the mirror and say how pretty she is! Highly amusing and completely adorable to watch! i was deseperate for a little girl but didn't quite expect to have to take one out so young in a tiara and fairy wings hehe x

  5. Haha, I've already had eyeliner on the walls and mascara on the carpet!

It's strange how some girls are pre-programmed with so much 'girliness' (if that's a word)!

  6. What a gorgeous photo :) My lil one is 15 months and she now knows where mummy keeps her nail varnish and she likes to put 1 bottle in her mouth and hold one in each hand and run about the place!
I take them off her and then she sits down and kicks her legs but I leave her to it.
